The staff are so friendly and helpful. The place is a little bit outdated, but the rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. The floor was really creaky in the bathroom and the fan/vent was loud but I didn't use it. Overall the room had the necessities. The curtains in the room didn't close, so I clipped them together for privacy. My stay was good. I didn't mind this place and if I ever decide to head in that direction again, I will most likely stay here. Thank you Scottish Inns.

It was good location.. definitely will stay here again when I come to visit. Our room was on the 3rd level only thing I can say it was not good was the lighting that came in from the outside at night. The curtains didn’t fully close. So we had to ask for clips to shut the curtains. Either than that it was great stay.

Loved our stay

The Scottish inns hotel in Cresson Texas was so clean and convenient as it is located right off a main road. I reserved a king size bed and the room was large with a mini frig and a coffee pot. There is also a shaded smoking area outside the back door. Continental breakfast is good and I had fun making waffles on the cast iron waffle maker. The staff are top notch, friendly yet professional. The ice machine is constantly working which was great for me as I drink ice water constantly. The daily rate is very reasonable on hotels.com. You won't regret staying here. I stayed about a week with my girlfriend and had a great time. Satellite TV is also wonderful and great for relaxing.

one night getaway, room was nice, fairly clean and comfortable. No pool, did not partake of the free breakfast. Back door did not accept key, had to walk around to another door. Shower curtain had mold. Couch was stained. Beds were very comfortable. No sign of bugs.

Every room needs repairs

Everyone working there had a great attitude and we're very helpful. Unfortunately, the disrepair of the building was scary. The bathroom vent fan was unplugged, there was no light bulb, Ave the sheets had stains in the first room they set me up in. They moved me to a room that looked as though it had been broken into before at the door. The safe had been ripped out, there was water damage in the drywall near the shower, and other places, the bathroom fan didn't work in that room either (although it was at least plugged in) I would have left but the people were nice and there eye no signs of bedbugs.

When we first arrived, we opened the first set of glass doors to find a locked second set of glass doors and a number to call..... So we called. Clerk let us in and greeted us by name. Check in was quick and easy. (Room key unlocked glass doors for rest of stay) Room was exceptionally clean but showed wear. Several scuffed places needed minor repair and repainting in both bedroom and bathroom. Bed was comfortable, room was unexpectedly large! Don't go expecting 3-star amenities, [even if this is the only hotel I've stayed in in years that had toothpaste in the room without having to make special request]. As you come and go through the lobby you might be surprised by a large dog (or two) popping up from behind the desk. It was a bit unnerving at first, but there was no reason to think they were anything but harmless!! Breakfast options included waffles but mostly cold packaged stuff. Seems like several negatives I know but if we were in the area again, we wouldn't even look for other options. Truly clean, friendly helpful staff and a great value are all here. I try to offer all the details I can so you can make an informed decision and I hope you got the part about our willingness to go back!!
