The kitchen area was clean, with lots of quality appliances and kitchen utensils, beds were very comfortable, the showers, bath and toilets were very clean and modern and in good working order.It's in a great location with lovely views and quick access by car or foot to nearby Kirkby Stephen. The nearby stream/beck provided hours of fun for the 8 year old with us. All in all a lovely holiday experience."

"Everything was clean. The modern kitchen offered everything that we needed. The living room was small but cosy with the log burner. The staff satisfied our request with a baby high chair (a travel cot was also possible but we did not need it). The only issue for us was the shower which was not very powerful."

"Edna’s Cottage is wonderful. It’s in the ideal location with paths on the doorstep with a range of walks. It was quiet and we spent time in the beautiful garden which was magical. There was a lovely traditional range and an adequately kitted out kitchen. The bathroom is spacious with plenty of hot water and a good shower. The double bedroom has a comfy bed and a large closet for storage and hanging clothes. The two single beds were unfortunately extremely uncomfortable and two of our group had...

"Amazing weekend.Bit awkward to find as we came in from kendal way ..Sat nav tookus throughmiles of one car wide road but its a paradise corner with stream and garden areas.. Some cottages residential but very friendly especially John..Also has smart TV and excellent wifi ..4 of us on anniversary weekend.Fully recommended.."
