"All in all a nice pub to stay in, 44 bus outside takes you into the city, takes awhile but if your looking for somewhere slightly cheaper than the city centre, this is a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Food was great, staff great, very quiet at night considering it's a pub. If you do stay here and get the 44 from Edinburgh the stop you require is curries library and the pub is opposite on the right."
"Having parking was a huge benefit, the high street does get busy so knowing it wasn't going to be an issue is great.
The breakfast was lovely, nice amount of choice and the full cooked breakfast was huge!
We didn't get a chance to have a coffee in the cafe but the homemade cakes and biscuits looked delicious.
Check in and check out was smooth and quick.
We were in room 86 and the windowsill needs a bit of maintenance and the room could do with a freshen up but the room was clean and the bed...
"A gem that brings back old school travel. Everything was perfect, unique and quite lovely. A quiet, beautifully landscaped, and a perfect place to relax and regroup."
"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."
