"This was a good property for us. It would be excellent for a larger group on a slightly cooler weekend. The location to the trails and downtown cannot be beat. The host is wonderful. The ease of securing the bikes was amazing. The laundry was easy and useful as the trails were very dusty. Air conditioning for sleeping is rough. The AC window units cool the main rooms well but to get the cool in the bedrooms needed fans and therefore was loud. Tough to get a crosswind with just windows and fans. However, this area is not often hot at night. So maybe not an issue for many. The actual price for each night is very good. However, for us the security deposit was very very high and was kept for the full two weeks post renting. I think the host has fixed this with VRBO, so then price is excellent."

"It was advertised as a three bedroom with three queen beds. It led us to believe they were all in the main house. However the third queen was in a bunk house that had no bathroom and was very damp and musty smelling. The two women that were to stay there could not stay out there because of respiratory issues. The house is beautiful, kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals. The screened in porch was wonderful for enjoying the lake view."

"We chose this property for our yearly family vacation, and we were not disappointed! The host, Steve, was absolutely wonderful! He was very kind and answered every question we had from the time we booked, and throughout the week we were there. The property was absolutely beautiful! Spacious, well equipped, clean, and great amenities. The screened in patio overlooking the lake was a family favorite of ours. The kitchen has everything you need, the bedrooms are very nice with comfortable beds. The floor plan allows for large gatherings in the common areas, but if you want to get away for awhile theres plenty of places to do that as well.The yard is large with plenty of room for a bonfire, games, etc. The dock is stable enough to safely tie up a boat. We also had some fishing sucess right from the dock! If you want to go out for food, drinks, shopping, or activities there are some good options within a 15 minute walk, as well as the Brainerd/Baxter area only being a 30 minute drive. I would highly recommend this property for a large family looking to get some time away and enjoy lake life."

"This is a nice place in town. Lots of room throughout the house. Lots of bedrooms and living areas. A nice equipped kitchen and the outdoors if very nice. We brought our 2 dogs and they throughly enjoyed the house and fenced in back yard. We went biking on the state bike trail which was a lot of fun."

"This clean and thoughtfully stocked home was perfect for 2 families. The ac kept the house cool, room to lock the bikes, kitchen is ready for all the home cooked meals and finishing out the night playing cards at the table. Grill and patio great for outdoor cooking"
Perfect 1-bedroom apartment with AC in charming Crosby

"The host was very communicative and helpful throughout the stay. This is an efficient space and the window AC kept us cool during a very hot weekend stay. At base level, we needed a roof over our heads while we were in town and this satisfied that need.However, I noticed some inconveniences that even as a seldom VRBO user seemed unusual. First, there was no basic welcome to the property and expectations/FAQs document either digital or provided on site. That included location of commonly access items, and check-out procedures.Second, the wifi network and password were not available until requested. Even then, the password was incorrect and required more messages and time to confirm. Third, while we didn't choose this space to watch TV, the TV and associated Netflix/streaming services didn't work. My 9 year old would have liked to use the TV to watch some cartoons when we took breaks from the heat. The property manager said that someone could come look at it, but to our knowledge no one came and the TV was essentially useless. Fourth, the towels we used left lint all over our bodies post shower. It made me think they had not been washed after purchasing, but I can't confirm. However, the hand towels did still have the little plastic string keeping them rolled up that we had to break to unroll and use. Very unusual."
