"We chose the hotel fairly randomly as we had a voucher to use. It is family owned and it is clear that the family and the staff put in a huge amount of effort to make everyone's stay as good as it can possibly be. The list of defects were really high from holes in the carpet mismatched furniture door strip on the bathroom door coming off to name only a few. "The guys at reception gave a warm welcome and helped with the bags to our room. Room was basically fine however the kettle could have done with a better clean. Decoration of the room was a little tired, but probably fine for most guys. The full English Breakfast was very good, well cooked and quality produce. My wife is gluten free, so had no alternatives such as porridge. Made do with some bacon and egg. The evening meal was also very good, but with a busy restaurant, service was a little slow....
