Worth upgrading to a club room, the lounge staff are particularly friendly and helpful and the food and drinks offered exceed the cost of the upgrade. Food quality excellent, wine only so-so, but great G&T and high quality spirits fot cocktails. Very highly recommended. "

"Breakfast menu was excellent. I enjoyed the lobster crab soup and the beef soup. The seafood porridge with abolone and scallop was great. The swimming pool was very nice. Good to have a lifeguard around. "

"We first fell in love with the Silks Place brand when we stayed at their Taroko Gorge location. And now our stay in their Tainan location just adds to our affection for the brand. This is a very well managed hotel with an excellently trained and efficient staff. It is immaculately maintained throughout plus offers a variety of food choices in their many restaurants. We will definitely return to Tainan to further explore its history, and to enjoy the food, and royal treatment at Silks Place. "

"A bit of a stretch was the AC, couldn’t control temperature, only fan speed, light switches were confusing at first, decent size room, location was ok as far as walking distance, but the ultra cheap tourist bus that can take you the most sites stops practically in front of the house, also walking distance from station, the abandoned restaurant/dining room looks a bit tired and depressing. All and all still good value for money, but not perfect"
