"The room was awesome - clean, well stocked (water, fridge, coffee). It was also a decent size with sufficient storage and the balcony was really nice in the evenings to watch the sun set over the mountains (in the distance as Gorilla Taco is directly in front of the hotel). However there were some issues - I woke up in the middle of the night the first night to the smell of gasoline. Not sure where it came from and it didn't appear again after that... totally weird. There was plenty of parking and the parking lot is well lit. Plenty of luggage carts as well. The biggest issue we had was the breakfast - they state that it's a "really good breakfast" however, it was the same everyday we were there - powdered eggs, burnt bacon, sausage, pastries, etc. It really was NO DIFFERENT from any other hotel that offers "free breakfast". We even went out for breakfast one day so that we didn't have to eat it AGAIN. And the worst part for me was the coffee - it was so watered down that you couldn't tase the actual coffee, especially if you added creamer (which they only had whole milk or half and half... YUCK). Only had whole milk for cereal as well - no 2% or 1% or skim... who wants to chew their milk???? The pool was cool looking but we didn't get a chance to use it. We did use the hot tub one night and had it to ourselves which was nice but it could have been cleaner too... lots of sediment on the bottom of it. We didn't try the restaurant ($$$$) but the rest of the hotel was nice"

Park Tower Inn

8/10 Good

"It really feels more of like a dorm room that just gets the job done. Many of the floors have a pot odor, elevator buttons are broken, elevators are out of commission, main pool was ice cold (however the lazy river and hot tub were nice), all tubes were deflated, ceilings caving in here and there, people arguing over balconies, no phone (so I am assuming that the pounding on random doors at 6:45a, 7:00a, etc in the morning are their wakeup calls- which wakes others up too) room service only emptied trash with a 3 day stay, our keycards didnt work once we got to our room - we were told it may take 10 minutes to activate our room cards. Random doors left open to ventilate the place, our balcony view was a parking lot and trees (so dont fall for the pictures), the beds felt old, very worn. In a queen room we could feel the springs in one of the mattresses. However, overall MY KIDS were none the wiser. The lazy river was unique to them and they had a ball just swimming in it every night. The pool hours were a huge plus and we were able to get to the pool every night. The breakfast was good. The beds were BUG FREE. The place is EXTREMELY affordable and in a good location. I know my kids are going to remember the pool in this place, not all the other things that us adults would notice above. Dont regret that we stayed here. It was a good time overall."
