"My wife and I stayed Sunday through Friday. The location was perfect for our day trips/hiking/horseback riding to Blackwater Falls State Park; the Albert Falls, Teresa Falls, Douglas Falls hike near Thomas; Dolly Sods Wilderness; Seneca Rocks; and eating in Davis and Canaan Valley. The hotel was very clean and everyone was friendly. We would stay there again."
Rest Assured in Black Bear Resort-Hike, Ski, Swim, Bike, Pickleball, and Relax!
10/10 Excellent
"Rest Assured cabin in Big Bear Resort was absolutely perfect! We love to mountain bike and the Chris Cowley trail was exactly 1 mile from the cabin. This magnificent trail ended on Camp 70 Road where many of the famous Davis trails start including Hoodoo and Moon Rocks. When we were not out mountain biking, we were enjoying many amenities of the resort including the recently renovated pool and 9 holes of mini golf. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay top notch. This is a pet friendly cabin and our 2 dogs enjoyed many walks on the trail around the resort and they enjoyed finding a sunny spot on the porch to rest in the great setting. The host of the property is attentive and communicative. There was not one negative thing about our 5 day stay! We made great memories and truly hope to return again!"
"We booked last minute to escape the extreme heat in Richmond. This condo had everything we needed. We stayed 7 nights and were very comfortable. We mostly ate out and used the microwave and toaster oven but we also used the induction plate to cook a couple of times. There is a full refrigerator. The only sink is shared between the kitchen and the bathroom but it is right next to the dishwasher so no need to wash dishes. The resort area is beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee. I had to work several days and the wifi was sufficient for all the bandwidth I needed. The condo is just a few miles from Davis and Thomas with grocery store, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. Also a few miles in either direction are beautiful state parks. We will definitely repeat this trip!"

"This property is a sight to see! It’s located just far enough away from downtown Davis to feel remote yet it was also convenient for daily outings. Our summer stay was rich with wildflowers, butterflies, and hummingbirds zooming around the yard. The mountain views from any window and the upstairs balcony were stunning. The inside of the house was furnished with charging stations, nightlights, reading materials, wildlife information, emergency instructions, dozens of towels, blankets, dog treats, leashes, and safety vests for dogs. The list of conveniences and accommodations are too numerous to name them all! Fear not, if you forgot something, Lizz has probably remembered it for you. She and her husband live nearby and will gladly offer tips and share their knowledge of the area. We would stay here again and again."
Zen2- Adorable Tiny Home in Davis! Pet Friendly! A/C
10/10 Excellent
"I took a 3 day motorcycle trip to the VRBO and the views on the way were amazing. Got into town and loaded up on some groceries and settled into the small beautiful industrial home. This property is my dream home. Edison bulbs, beautiful balcony, fire pit, windows that open for a breakfast bar, etc. it’s simply amazing. Neighbors are friendly and I didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving my motorcycle out front the house. The views, trails and peace and quiet are nothing short of amazing. I plan on coming back to this property in the winter. The property management company was so easy to work with, polite and very responsive. As for the cleanliness, place was spotless when I entered. Again, cannot wait to return!"
