Escape to our peaceful 1,380 sq. ft. waterfront log cabin on the Tennessee River. Perfect for families or fishing trips, this 2-bed + loft home comfortably sleeps your group. Enjoy a cozy gas fireplace, a private fishing dock with electricity where an 8-lb bass was caught, and a dreamy screened-in porch with a bed swing. A serene getaway with modern comforts like high-speed WiFi, just a short drive in minutes away from Decatur (18), Howe Farms (21), Dayton (30) and Chattanooga (45).

Welcome to Goodhope, your peaceful waterfront cabin on the beautiful Tennessee River (Lake Chickamauga). This spacious 1,380 sq. ft. log cabin offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with all-wood paneling and a cozy stone, gas fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings.

Key Features:

•Two comfortable bedrooms and a large loft, providing ample space for your group.
• A private dock with electricity, perfect for fishing enthusiasts—an 8-pound bass was once caught right here!
• Kayaks are provided for your enjoyment on the water.
• Two porches that run the length of the home.
• A fully screened-in porch that serves as an outdoor living room, complete with a dreamy bed swing, comfortable seating, and a TV for entertainment.

We have summer water from Mid April to Mid October. Use chickamaugalake website for water levels.

Guest Access
Guests will have full and private access to the entire home and its amenities, including the private boat dock and surrounding property. You can make yourselves completely at home.

Please note that the master bedroom closet and a hallway closet are locked for owner storage. However, you will find a dresser to provide plenty of alternative storage space in the master bedroom for your belongings. The queen bedroom has closet space for anything that needs to be on hangers.

Interaction with Guests
We respect our guests' privacy and offer a seamless self-check-in process. We will not be present at the property during your stay, but we are readily available via the booking platform or by phone if you have any questions or need assistance.

• High-Speed WiFi: The cabin is equipped with high-speed WiFi to keep you connected for work or streaming.
• For Families: We provide a selection of children's books and toys for our younger guests.
• Outdoor Fun: A fire pit is available for you to enjoy. Please practice fire safety at all times.
• Security: For your safety and the security of the property, there are exterior security cameras in place monitoring the perimeter of the home.
• We are Pet Friendly. Please include the Pet when booking the reservation which will add a small pet fee. Please keep Pets off the furniture and beds. The Pet must be Potty trained and dispose of the pet waste properly. Our guests appreciate keeping their feet clean.
• Special amenities such as ample parking for boats, flexible self check-in, washer / dryer and a fully stocked kitchen of appliances / cookware and a gas grill are available to our guests.
• The towels we provide are for inside use only. Please bring your beach towels for outside activities.

The cabin was actually a little bigger than we expected. We enjoyed that it was located in a rural quiet area and were pleasantly surprised to find kayaks to explore the backwater areas of the river.

The cabin was great- could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival. The lake was nice so we could fish some. The beds weren’t the most comfortable and there wasn’t much closet space, but overall it was a nice place to stay and I would recommend it.

Great relaxing stay

My family stayed for three nights to fish Chikamauga lake and visit Chattanooga. The house is very clean, well equipped and the host was great with communication. For anyone bringing a boat, there is plenty of parking for multiple boats and Armstrong Ferry boat ramp is just down the road.

Perfect cabin for a relaxing getaway.

The lake house cabin was perfect for our little family. We spent most of the time on the lake and around the dock. Everything was wonderful and the cabin is very spacious.

Wonderful stay!!

Beautiful property!! Great hosts. The house is just as wonderful as the pictures show it to be and the dock/fishing/kayaks were such a hit with our family. We spent most of our time either on the water fishing or around the fire pit. Would definitely recommend!!

Awesome home for quiet getaway

We really enjoyed the stay. The area was quiet and peaceful. Massive yard for the dogs to run an play. The screen in porch was the perfect spot to watch football on a chilly fall afternoon.

Great get away

This is our second time staying at the cabin. We have two large dogs and they absolutely love the property and the space to run. The cabin is always so cozy and comfy and we really enjoyed watching the leaves change since we don’t really get fall in Florida. The host was very quick at responding to any questions we may have had. Certainly recommend this spot.

Beautiful peaceful place

This is a beautiful cabin! The location is off the main beaten path with lots of peace and quiet. There where 6 adults and the house was very comfortable. The side porch is amazing!! The dock on the lake was very convenient and the lake was full of all kinds of fish. We will be coming back very soon.
