A romantic getaway or a fishing trip. This is an amazing property with beautiful trout stocked creek rushing through it. Enjoy the deck overlooking the creek or sit in the hot tub and relax. This is a truly peaceful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Just min. away from Leatherwood riding stables. You can be shopping in Boone, Blowing Rock or heading to Tweetsie Railroad, or Linville caverns with 20 mins. Zipline or Gem Mining is also a favorite of our guestsw.

This creek is a Class A trout stocked creek.. The State stocks our creek each month from Mar-Aug. It is also listed as an 'Outstanding Resource of Water' by the State of NC.

There is another cabin on adjacent lot that could be available for larger parties or if you have Friends that would also like to come along. 1 king bedroom , 1 full bathroom 2 twins in loft bedroom. Listing #248845

Extremely clean and well stocked rental. We enjoyed the creek and the hot tub. It was a little bit of a drive to stores but absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend away, which is just what we needed.

Quiet and clean. Beautiful location. The hot tub was perfect. Nice to visit West Jefferson but then come back.to the cabin. Full kitchen and grill made it so easy to relax and just enjoy the space.

Quiet & Clean

If you’re looking to go up the mountain for a quiet escape, look no further. This cabin is located off a dirt road and nestled beside a relaxing creek. The cabin is well stocked (towels, linens, cookware), very clean, and a decent WiFi signal. I would not hesitate booking here again because the host is super responsive too.

Cozy and Relaxing

The cabin is clean and well stocked. The layout is spacious.Relaxing in the hot tub after a day playing in the creek was nice.Host gives you privacy and is accommodating as needed.

Perfect Spot

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin immensely! From sitting on the porch soaking in the hot tub, to exploring the creek it was a relaxing weekend. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a private scenic getaway.

I am giving this 3 stars because the cabin was very clean and nice; however, we didn’t realize how far away it was from everything. We wanted to go hiking at Julian Price Park but it was an hour away. We wanted to go to dinner in Boone or Blowing Rock but it was 40-50 minutes away, so we had to go the grocery store and stay put. There is one restaurant 10 minutes away but that’s it. If you are looking to get away and not go anywhere this is the place for you, but if you want to go to the mountains and do activities then you need to find a place closer. We were very disappointed we couldn’t go anywhere without driving almost an hour.

The property was so clean and so cozy ,there is everything there that you will possibly need and more, they even leave little papers with house keeping number , wood etc the hot tub was amazing a little sand in it but nothing major we so loved our stay

Absolute Gem

Highly recommend! This cabin was spotless and so cozy. The hot tub was amazing to sit in at night with the creek right off the balcony. The cabin beside it is not as close as we initially thought and never had a problem with privacy as others had said. If you want a quiet getaway this is the perfect place! We will definitely be staying again! 10/10

Great creek play for kids!

The creek in the backyard had a little sandy beach area. Our 4 and 6 year old kids, and our pup, spent hours every day playing alongside and in the creek. There was a nice picnic table and firepit for spending evenings outside enjoying the sounds of the creek. During our stay in early June, we were surprised by the lack of bugs - they weren't a nuisance at all. Inside was clean and comfortable, with a large table perfect for board games and family time. We took some day trips out to The Blowing Rock, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and to kayak the New River, each about 40 minutes away. We hope to return again, this time just to spend all our time enjoying the lovely property and the creek - it's like a prime camping spot but with the comforts of a fully outfitted cabin.

Perfect for a couple

Beautiful property right by the creek. Outdoor bugs weren't an issue for us because it was cool out. Everything was very clean and I appreciated the extra blankets available. The associated fees (cleaning, pet, etc) were pretty much as much as the booking itself. It would have been nice if the firewood was complimentary. We felt like if we used anything there was an extra charge. You have to carry your trash out to the dump at the end of the road which is farther out than i would have liked. You did have the option of paying the house keeper extra to do it. I would definitely stay again, despite feeling a little nickeled and dimed. It was still a lovely place and we actually stayed an extra night.

Serene Retreat by the Creek

I recently stayed at this vacation rental with my boyfriend and our two dogs for the weekend, and we had an amazing experience. The remote location provided the perfect getaway, allowing us to fully embrace the tranquility of nature. The property’s proximity to a serene creek, where we could fish, was a definite highlight. The soothing sound of the flowing water added to the overall relaxation. The hot tub was a wonderful addition, and the rental itself felt fairly new and well-maintained. It was stocked with everything we could possibly need, making our stay hassle-free. The cozy and clean atmosphere made us feel right at home. I must address previous reviews that mentioned issues with creek accessibility – it’s literally right there, so there should be no problems getting to it. As for complaints about bugs outdoors, it’s important to remember that we were in a natural setting, and bugs come with the territory. However, during our stay, the cooler weather meant bugs weren’t a problem. I also noticed that the owner had taken measures to deter mosquitoes and flying bugs from the porch. If I were to mention a minor downside, it would be that the bed was a bit on the firm side, but this can be a matter of personal preference. In summary, we absolutely loved our stay at this vacation rental. It provided the perfect blend of seclusion, nature, and relaxation. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful escape.

Won't stay here again.

The cabin was brand new so it was clean. Communication with host was good, fast response. Housekeeping showed up during my stay 3 times unannounced. The hot tub is NOT usable at night because the bugs are absolutely horrible. I opened it and within just a couple of hours, it was FULL of bugs. Spent some time the next day cleaning it out. VRBO said check out was at 11am but the host said 10am. She allowed me to check out at 11am but housekeeping showed up at 10:20am and was waiting for me to leave in the driveway. So I left. Grass had not been mowed. No access to the creek unless you walk into the yard of the next house. Microwave stopped working and I had to throw away half my dinner. No trash disposal unless you pay. The back deck would be much more enjoyable if it was screened. Even if you don't use the hot tub, just having any lights on outside attracts bugs. Some bite! Spent some time killing bugs that got inside. Overall disappointed! Won't stay here again.

Great Little Retreat

This cabin is exactly as in pictures. It is a beautiful spot. The creek is clean and beautiful. The house was perfect for our family. We have 2 boys and they slept on the big pull out couch. We loved it.

This place was amazing and just what we needed! Just my husband, myself and our 10 y/o lab. Our dog loved getting in the creek. We cooked on the grill every night, enjoyed the hot tub and the deck overlooking the creek. We would definitely stay here again!
