Elk Creek Retreat is a brand new two bedroom (both master bedrooms), two bath cabin on a rushing trout stream and 8 acres. If you are looking for a stream side cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. Elk Creek Retreat is located on Elk Creek which has excellent trout fishing, is a State stocked trout stream, and is rated as the second cleanest stream in all of North Carolina. Open the windows and fall asleep to the sound of the stream which runs directly behind the cabin. Amenities include hot tub, Wi-Fi, fireplace, grill, outdoor fire pit, and plenty of decking that overlooks the stream. The location is convenient to both Boone and Blowing Rock both within about a 25 minute drive.

Amazing weekend getaway

This is a beautiful and well appointed cabin with everything you need for a great stay. Dog friendly and there is a lot of space for them to roam. Will look to come back in the future, hopefully for longer than a weekend next time!

Very nice peaceful fishing wasn’t that good but it’s usually a crap shoot I went to the bridges and caught trout. These waters get fished out quick timing is everything.

We love Deep Gap and were delighted to find this cabin! It’s on beautiful property, decorated nicely, spacious, clean plus had all the amenities of home. We loved the privacy, large yard, stream for fishing and the hot tub on the porch! Looking forward to coming back!

Great sanctuary

This place is a real retreat. Nestled in a deep valley near Boone, it is a peaceful place. The cabin looks brand new and everything worked well. Love the gas fireplace! Beds were comfortable and furniture comfortable. I will return!

This secluded mountain cabin was a wonderful place to get away for the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin was clean, and the owner provided everything we needed to relax, including a hot tub overlooking a mountain stream. The owner was very accommodating.

Unforgettable vacation

This cabin and owner are amazing! We were staying here when Hurricane Helene hit. Bill drove from FL to make sure we were ok. Honest we will definitely rent here again. Great getaway!

We loved our stay! The property is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was extremely clean and well equipped. It’s a bit of a haul from “town” but that was a positive for us. Very quiet and secluded. We enjoyed great quality time with our daughter. We hope to come back again soon!

Beautiful area

Wonderful cabin along a stream. Living room furniture was worn and uncomfortable however with the hurricane damage it may not be an issue. It breaks our heart to think that this beautiful area sustained so much trauma and damage.

Great weekend anniversary trip

It was really nice. It felt like being in the middle of nowhere the closest Dollar General and Walmart is about 30 minutes away but the quietness was worth it. The only downside was no Verizon phone service but the upside no one called me. Beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

4th of July hideout

This place was very clean and quiet. We wanted to escape the 4th of July fireworks, and we found the perfect spot. The house had all the amenities we needed, including items for our dogs. Floating in the creek was amazing, and we loved the provided floaties. We are already making plans for our next trip back.
