"The front desk staff were attentive and professional. The room was clean and had a lot of space to lay out a suitcase. Breakfast was good with very friendly staff. We had stayed at Hampton Inn the night before and the property and staff at the Holiday Inn Express far exceeded the Hampton Inn. I wish it was closer to the heart of Pittsburgh so I could stay every time I visit. "

"Second stay at this hotel while in Pittsburgh. Up and coming neighborhood near a Whole Foods, Target and tons of cute neighborhood restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself is lovely. I much prefer to stay here when visiting my child at the University of Pitt. Street parking or metered parking in a lot behind the building is abundant and I don't feel overwhelmed with garage parking or the Forbes Avenue traffic/congestion. It is a short 10 minute drive from that. So much character in the architectural details!!! Love that this building has been repurposed from a YMCA. The mid century modern furnishings are adorable. The contactless check in and parking is convenient. I will be back. "

"The table lamps near the bed are not that bright. No easy place to plug in your phone charger. There is a spot on the table lamp but it is very loose and doesn't work all that well as a result. Suggest some kind of texture in the bath tub floor as it is very slippery."
