"Stayed here several times now. Staff have always been super friendly and the rooms are good despite being a little dated. The bar is very friendly, food is good and the hotel is conveniently located for the town centre and railway station. Highly recommended. "

"The ladies who are running the hotel/pub so lovely - nothing is too much trouble - only been there 5 mths and they have their work cut out with the property and building it up again as a pub - all staff lovely , dog friendly - great location "

"The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests. It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm."
