"Staff were wonderful, but we had an executive room that was in a poor state of repair to the point that the fire safety information had to be reattached to the door. The list of defects were really high from holes in the carpet mismatched furniture door strip on the bathroom door coming off to name only a few. If this was an executive room the mind boggles what the standard room must be like."

"Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too"

"This hotel is really good value for money. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and there was free WiFi. The views from our window weren’t great (we were overlooking a large grey flat roof and a building site) but that’s not what I was paying for so it didn’t bother me. The check-in was fast and efficient however I was hit with a £30 refundable deposit per room (I’d booked two rooms) which wasn’t an issue for me in the long run but I don’t recall being made aware of that...

We booked a family room for two people - we prefer to have two beds when jet lagged & our room was a perfect set up for us (could either be a king or two twins, plus a sofa bed). Our room was spacious and bright and we were actually pleasantly surprised at how roomy the bathroom was, which had a small tub good enough for a soak. "We stayed for an event at the Sheffield Arena that’s pretty close by. The hotel was much better value than the Sheffield City centre hotels. The bar area is busy and welcoming, the room is pretty basic but as to be expected for the price the range. The bathroom was basic but the shower unit was good. "
