"Nice room, breakfast, pool, quiet area, close to free beach on Okaloosa island."

"The night shift person didn't know what was going on when checking in people. We got a handicap room and found out the next morning didn't have hot water. The day manager moved us to another room and didn't offer to help us. Got to the room and pillows had a smell and no pillow cases. The shower had mold on the shower curtain and the manager had is best person cleaned it. We got the idea that they knew that the handicap room had no hot water because the kept saying they knew it was leaking. I booked the room saying it was in walking distance of the Harbor,we are elderly and was to far for us to walk. Will not stay there again and no recommendations for Motel 6"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Maritime Escape!! The location of the property was ideal. Everything was close by. The views from the property were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked and held all the needed cookware, dishes and glasses. (Bring your own condiments & seasonings.) The rooms were well provisioned with towels, comfortable mattresses and pillows. (Believe there were only two bedrooms without a TV.) The pool area with an outdoor kitchen was very nice & a multitude of beach towels were available to use. Walking out on the pier was a pleasant experience being able to view fish, ducks & other wildlife. Having an elevator was a godsend to members of our party with mobility limitations. (Note that sofa is low & while comfortable, certain people had difficulty arising from it.) The host was easily accessible and provided prompt solutions to our concerns and questions. We had an amazing time and I highly recommend this property to others! "

"Was disappointed in the hotel. Very nice looking but could not get our room cleaned in a timely manor. Getting to the room from check in was very confusing they didn’t mention you walk through the parking garage. We went back to the front desk twice until a nice lady walked us to our room. I paid for the Suite and a balcony room. The picture showed a patio set. The balcony was so small you could barely even stand out there. Lots of construction going on. The pool said there was service until 10 and never stayed open that late. We had to carry our dirty towels back because no one was at the counter so we were unable to get our towel cards back. Other than the room itself and king beds as well as the location for the boardwalk it was very disappointing. Also asked for late check out since check out is 10am but nothing opens until 11. Location was great and shuttle to the beach as well, except when they change the hours the day of your beach plans and have to make other arrangements. Positives are the room was new and nice. Location was close to everything and excursions available right outside in the boardwalk. "

"As advertised! The cove the condo sits on is perfect, it rivals the best of Caribbean beaches with white sand and crystal clear water!! Check-in is simple with gated entrance and keypad on the door! Updated furnishings and fixtures throughout the condo. Harborwalk village only a 10-12 minute drive and beautiful views of the harbor from your balcony! Highly recommended and hope to return!"
