"The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to nearby sites. Porto is extremely hilly and being right in the riverfront provides easy access to the river boat rides, the ferry, the pedestrian bridge across the river and lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast is fantastic. Hugo in the dining room went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. My only suggestion is the rooms could do with an update in decor but that is only...

"An older style property with much character but also modern amenities in the bedrooms. Very friendly, helpful staff throughout from reception to restaurant and bar as well as concierge and assistance with luggage. A lot to do and see around the hotel. It's a very hilly city so easy walking down to the river but a steep climb back up or use the funicular part way or taxi. Good food in the restaurant."
