The location is GREAT on the main road in Appenzell. The staff is super friendly and helpful in suggestion things to do. The breakfast was very good as well. The only to be aware of (which wasn't a negative for us) is the Church right across the street rings its bells until pretty late and again at 6:30 am. They are awesome bells, but very loud. Hotel was very convenient to the train station. It is in the center of this wonderful village with lots of restaurants and plenty of shopping. Rooms were very nice the restaurant served a nice buffet breakfast and alson dinner. The bar was pleasant.

Best place :))

You can never go wrong with a Relais and Chateau recommendation but this place has it all. Comfortable rooms with a view of the Vaduz castle and the valley toward Switzerland. Enjoyed the Marrée restaurant and the exquisite food on the well decorated terrace. The personal welcome by the Lady of the house made this a memorable experience.

This location is great for catching the bus to most anywhere. The bus stop is 150ft. Bus rides are free for tourists. The receptionist super helpful for bus times and connections. There is open fields close by great for walking in the countryside. Bus 13 will get you there getting off Sportpark!

Das Hotel at Säntis is nothing like a 3* hotel. I would give it 4 1/2* for sure. From check in to check out the staff looks sfter you, is super friendly and help ful. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. View of the mountain is stunning. The restaurant serves a very good breakfast buffet as well as dinner. I'll be traveling to Heerbrugg on business regularly after this trip. Most colleagues stay in Dornbirn across the border, but they were all sold out. Found this place and was on the St. Gallan to Heerbrugg rail line so I gave it a try. Amazing. Better cost value than the Sheraton Four Points in Austria. True castle with all modern room amenities.
