"The hotel was fine and served its purpose. A few issues is the hotel was not properly cleaned upon arrival, for instance we did not have trash bags in the barrel, the freezer was so iced over that the fridge did not close and so it could not keep beverages cool. The aircon didn’t work all that great. Overall our room was not clean, we had massive staining on our sheets and comforter that were yellow and looked like pee. The laundry we washed our clothes twice and it was not effective at actually cleaning our clothes (we were sure not to overstuff) and dryer took two cycles to dry so this was a waste of money. Aside from this being a great location I would not book at this property again in the future until standards and cleanliness is improved, maybe it was just our room."

"Very Friendly staff. The hotel is based in the heart of the city (short walking distance to cafe's/bars). Very reasonably priced accommodation. My hotel when travelling into the City."

"We can't fault the hotel and especially the rooms with river view. We always stay when in Melbourne. Staff are excellent. The location is extremely convenient. However this time we were disappointed with our dinner in the Collins restaurant. My husband had pork belly skewers and then duck which were both undercooked and tough. I had oysters and kingfish and these were fine."

"Lovely art deco building, with modern rooms. Great outdoor heated pool. Lovely bar (we didn't eat in). We booked for 1 adult and 2 kids (17/14) - and it would have been ideal to have a bed on the floor, rather than sharing a double - there was plenty of room in the room for this. Maybe ask if this could be arranged if you're a family."
