"The chap on reception (might be the manager) was very friendly and helpful. Although there are narrow corridors, the hotel overall is not grim, and "feels" pleasant. It is certainly clean, which for an old building with the usual plaster cracks is some achievement. Getting a parking space is always a bit of a gamble that end of Aber. "Excellent accomodation which was dog friendly - lovely walks through spacious gardens and small woodland. Service was also excellent - staff helpful and polite. Dog basket - bowls on request, blanket towel and sleep pad. Worth taking your own dogs beds but these items were useful and practical. Only consideration for next visit is my elderly dog struggled with stairs and I would request a ground floor room if available as no lift "
