Their pub next-door (Weirs) had the best seafood chowder we had on our whole trip. Everyone we met at the pub was just as warm and welcoming. The live music session Friday night was a highlight. "The location is beautiful and the bedrooms are very comfortable. There is limited common space which became an issue at night when guests and wedding parties were commingled and we felt a bit out of place. The swimming pool is not fenced off and seems like an accident waiting to happen considering the large number of small children staying in the hotel. Similarly getting in/out of the jacuzzi was lethal with a flimsy step dropped down which slipped under one of us and no handles. Very dark at the coffee area inside Bonnies bit dicey with boiling water - again this needs looking into. Overall lovely visit but the health and safety in the place needs a look."

"Parking is Very very very very tight, like the ramps are tight. There’s plenty of parking though, once you squeeze in. The hotel is lovely, the staff are very helpful, the breakfast is GREAT, and I like how they styled it as a fancy upscale place. But it’s clearly for families. Shower on the 5th floor was clearly my punishment for past sins because it would go from scalding to freezing over and over without changing the faucet. At 6 am. Expedia description of the hotel says it has a pool/splash room. It absolutely does not. I asked, but also where would it go? My daughter was disappointed. Not the hotel’s fault at all though."

"Street parking right in front was very convenient and free. You're right in the middle of a square, so there's lots of pubs and convenience stores within walking distance. The hotel was lovely and the room was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cold when we arrived, but warmed up in no time once we turned up the radiator. Friendly staff as well. My only upset was that breakfast didn't start until 9am and we had to leave by 8am, so we lost out on that unfortunately."
