We made a last minute change to a planned itinerary for a driving tour of Montenegro from Split. We were going to Budva first but many locals said Budva was not for us and suggested Tivat. Porto Palace was available and I arranged a 3 night stay. As it last minute we took what was available and had a low floor with no view. The rooms are apartments with full kitchens. I was there in the off season and the hotel was not crowded, but the staff was amazing and catered to every request and requests I didn't even make. There is no weight room and the pool is not heated, but the hotel is right on the beach near Porto Montenegro and everything is within walking distance that you will need including a grocery store, pharmacy, etc. Bus station is a quick taxi ride away. The quality of Merit truly stood out. The room was simply amazing; it was one of the suite rooms and everything from the materials, decoration, comfort, size, and the sea view was excellent. Beautiful facility and great location with amazing views. Outstanding staff, professional and they went above and beyond whenever possible to help us. Only drawback its little too far from Kotor old town. It takes about an hour with an average taxi price of 80 euros. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

This was a very unique property. We had a huge room that was very comfortable; the breakfast in the morning was scrumptious and set us up for a day of travel. The rooftop bar was also lovely for an evening nightcap.

Very nice hotel with spectular beach

I really liked this hotel, ample rooms, nice pool, relatively close to the airport but very quiet, breakfast included. The only thing to consider is that to get there you drive through very narrow streets up a hill to a residential area, there’s not a lot of things to do around there, no restaurants or stores, so not all taxis are willing to pick you up to take you to the airport. This has to be the best place to stay in the entire city. Everything was so clean and the decor was beautiful. The free breakfast featured an omelet bar and a buffet! To top it off, the staff was friendly and helpful. If I visit Budva again, this will be the hotel I’m staying at.
