"While my options were limited in a small college town for parents weekend, and this hotel was available at a premium, it did not feel like a nice experience. The ceiling in our room had clearly suffered major leaks. The wallpaper was peeling back. The rug matted and stained or faded throughout the hotel. I think it is slated for reconstruction. What could be cleaned was clean. The staff were very sweet. It was a great location. Desperate need of maintenance and renewal. I wish it well."

"The water ran at a trickle in the bathroom sink. The breakfast was the worst offering in my travels probably ever. For what the room charges were I felt i paid for a Hilton and received a Motel 6."

"Clean room, good breakfast, safe easy parking"

"Clean room. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. All good!"

"We had a nice stay at the Black Bear. Great location and Kim was very accommodating."

"Resort was dark and dated. Air conditioning loud and beds and pillows uncomfortable. We were the only guests in the resort. No amenities The restaurant was more updated and bright but food was fair. No breakfast available. Golf course was in good condition and the starter was friendly and helpful. Will not be returning."

"The rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming."

"Friendly staff. Easy to park. Room & bathroom very clean. Location was convenient. The outdoor swimming pool is also great for an easy day. I would stay here again!"

"What an amazing experience! The Inn is so charming! The place was absolutely spotless, breakfast bar was stocked perfectly, dinner both nights was fabulous and the staff was amazingly friendly! We cannot wait to book our next stay!"

"The lobby had loiterers the entire time. The lobby smelled of stale & fresh cigarette smoke. The loiterers were loud & sleep was not possible. The vending machine is unplugged. The shower head did not work. The breakfast item was 1/2 full loaf of bread & butter in a brown paper bag near a toaster. Overall extremely poorly run establishment."

"Delicious breakfast and host was very knowledgeable about local things to do"

"We absolutely loved it there. Very cozy and beds were comfy. We will go back again. Breakfast was amazing."

"Basic motel. Clean. Good parking. Good sized room. Good for a night or two."

"The house is beautiful and our room lovely . Will stay again"

"Booked for two nights, left after one. The room was fine- clean, no funky smells, clean bathroom newer mattresses and HVAC. As a solo female traveler, I just didn’t feel great about the location, lack of on-site staff, and door locks. A no-frills, roadside motel was not for me, but could be fine for you."
