The room was clean and the second bed was assembled, the second bed was a convertible sofa, and although it was a double size bed I think it was only suitable for one person which was not an issue for us. "Very nice large hotel with all amenities, within short driving distance of Antwerp. If you would rather stay out of town and enjoy a hotel with spa, swimming pool, 3 restaurants, a very large kids outdoor play are and free car park, then the Van der Valk Beveren is the place to go. Check-in staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was modern, spacious and well furnished, the water pressure in the bathroom perfect for a nice shower after a long day of sightseeing. "Gent was our favorite city in Belgium. We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The king hotel room we booked was the largest room we had during our trip. This hotel is conveniently located, as it is less than a 5 min walk from Gent-Sint-Pieters train station. Very close to Citadel park, which was nice for a morning stroll. The breakfast at the hotel was the best breakfast during our trip, with a wide variety of food. We will most definitely be back."
