"This is a peaceful farmhouse out in the country. There are gorgeous views and you can watch the cattle. We loved sitting on the front porch, waiting for the sun to go down and listening to our friend the whippoorwill sing for us! Very convenient location for exploring historical sites like the McDowell Battlefield. I highly recommend for a relaxing get-away!"

"The cabin was rustic but comfortable and quite remote, just like it was advertised. We all loved it! We woke to birdsong and cows mooing in the morning, and enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys. The small town of McDowell was very interesting, as were the Elegius Mini Horse Sanctuary, Hayfield State Park, and the McKendree cemetary (one of our party had relatives buried there).
