Kings' House

"Booked 3 day's as a couple with a friendly dog. On arrival we were greeted warmly by a staff member (apologies forgot the ladies name), who explained and apologised the apartment we had booked was unfortunately unavailable due to having unexpected maintenance. We were shown to room 4, very clean and well laid out. Although there were not the facilities of a self-contained apartment which we had booked, this room met all our other needs. This could happen at any property, and totally understand. We only mention this to show the management overcame an issue and resolved the problem to our (the customer) satisfaction. Job well done. Good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and bottled water in the room. Whenever we met the staff/owners they were friendly and attentive. There felt to be a nice caring atmosphere in this hotel. We had breakfast on two days - day 1, continental x1 and cooked breakfast x1. Day 2, continental x2. Both continental and cooked breakfast were fresh/plentiful and good quality, enjoyed by both of us. Again staff were attentive, but not overbearing whilst having breakfast. Would we recommend/stay at the Kings Hotel again? - YES Thanks again to all staff, for enhancing our stay at the Isle of Man."

"Great location, directly on the front. Staff were very helpful, especially the ladies at breakfast, which was great itself. Bar staff & reception staff were informative and polite. I would recommend the Hotel to others in the future."

"A very nice hotel but room for improvement. Breakfast was OK but let down by the concealed baked beans, and long standing rubbery eggs. It seems they were left out from start of service. On the last morning bacon was hardly cooked and sausages looked anemic. The poor breakfast didn't encourage me to book an evening meal. Tried to ring reception one evening. Unanswered during several attempts over a 30 minute period one evening. Other guests dogs barked for 1.5hrs one night. Not hotels fault but dog owning guests need to be encouraged to be responsible for their dogs. All fairly minor issues and we did enjoy our stay."

"Only manned at certain times but staff were friendly and helpful when there. Our room was nice and shower was good but had 2 single continental quilts and would have found one double much better."
