"Enjoyed the check in fireplace and animals throughout the property. Our lodge had dark blue against brown lettering for lodge making it difficult to find at dusk. Hot water in sink would not turn on. Ice machines were inoperable even after two calls on our first night’s stay. Program still referred to Prime Rib Dinner at the Pine 5p-8p on Friday and other days. Wood on outside of our deck and our neighbors was rotted."

Stayed at the Lodge , small no frills room. But , so what .. It’s a historic hotel ,.. It’s charming.. Door stays unlocked , no security , people are free to come in and out .. "Our favorite place we stayed hotel wise in a two week trip. The staff were all great. The water feature next to the coffee maker was such a handy thing to have. The location was beautiful. Our first morning I was woke from a bull elk right outside our room. The lake sparkled and was a gorgeous thing to listen to the elk as we looked across the water. Location was great. Would definitely stay here again. Coffee pods were even decent and the lotion provided was great."

Kitchen table scratched and had to be from the 1960's. Living area furniture was poor, the futon was so uncomfortable to sit on, can't image what it would be like to sleep on. "I spent so much for so little. Rooms all need to be updated. Breakfast was bare minimum in unpleasant surroundings. With the over abundance of great places to stay, I would not pick Blue Door Inn."

"We saw elk right outside our room which were very unique! The breakfast was ok but the eggs were filled with what tasted like cheese wiz so I stuck to oatmeal. Our room was not great. My mom and sisters room was on the top floor and had a sliding glass door and window. Ours was on the first floor in a corner. It was very dark with only 1 small window. Soundproofing did not exist. "Excellent stay in every way. We were there for more than a week. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Nice room nice hot tub great staff great continental breakfast. Can’t recommend it highly enough."
