"Lovely stay at the Oaks Wellington Hotel. Such a great location which made it so easy to get around either walking or using the bus. Easy walking to Te Papa Museum and shopping locations. "This was SO much better than expected - especially for the price. I was worried that photos were of just recently refurbished rooms, but I was wrong. Obviously ALL rooms are modern, like this. And a decent size. And immaculately clean, well proportioned, and with great facilities. The bathroom is stunning, and there's plenty of storage room for longer stays. The bed is firm, but comfortable. The only downside would be if you have a room facing Vivian Street, as I did. The windows are surprisingly not double glazed, and it's quite a busy street - even through the night, so you will get quite a lot of street noise. But for the price, and convenience, it can't be beaten. Quite the gem!"
