Victoria Falls through the mists in the low season. Seeing the famed Victoria falls from the Zimbabwe side was something that had been on my bucketlist since way before I even knew what a bucketlist was. I never really thought I would make it to Africa but often dreamed of it. I just put up my blog post about my experience there. The lodge is more or less self-service with no daily maid service and no television in the rooms. The property is very nice for relaxing after enjoying all the activities available. We did walk into town and to the falls. Food was excellent. Game drivers: Lesh and Jinx went above and beyond to try to meet our every request. We were lucky enough to see nearly every type of animal in the park. "If you're a hostel traveler, this place is amazing!! We loved it... from the accomodations to the central gathering place, the food and friendly staff, the ambience and security measures, plus walkable to Vic Falls. As with most anywhere, could use some upgrades, especially in the few ensuite bathrooms (and maybe some pop-in screens for the windows to allow enjoyment of the cooler night air), but even the least-best about this place was acceptable... and the best-best more than made up for...
