"The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had nice choices. The only problem I seen was the staff really wasn’t all that friendly. I would still highly recommend."

"This is an older property in a fishing town. It was quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The pool was refreshing after a hot morning of fishing."

"It was a beautiful place to stay right there on the bay. Paula and staff were exceptional. My wife and I really enjoyed our time there at the peaceful pelican."

"Love staying here"

"I don’t usually write reviews but this place was horrible. We stayed one night and there were 2 huge cockroaches on our room. And if those weren’t enough one got in my car as we were leaving. On top of that the ice machine doesn’t work. The pool was the only nice thing about our stay, I would never stay here again!"

"Everything was good but the pool was very dirty"

The host was awesome and responded to any questions very quickly. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back. And make sure to be out there early morning for that sunrise. It is beautiful."

"One of the cleanest and nicest places we have stayed in the area"

Well the bedroom was full of bugs in the ceiling and walls but only in the bedroom. We had to sleep in living room. In the morning we left and we still had another night. Host did t refund anything and gave excuses for the bugs. Kept saying it's because we are in Matagorda by the beach. Well my brother was staying for houses down and he...
