"The Sheraton is in an excellent location, only three blocks to Carnegie Hall, easy walking to theaters and Times Square, as well as Central Park. However, As mentioned in their blurb, check in is crazy busy, slow and understaffed. In fact staff are not that friendly, except for the awesome cleaning staff. And to mention now, the elevators are confusing to use, because the staff did not explain how to use them. We observed many guest having to help other guests to find their floor…thank goodness for the help of others. Now if you happen to bring back left overs from their restaurants…good luck in finding the “Goodwill” donated microwave that is supposed to be located on only a select few floors where even staff are not up to date on which floor that might be. Once found, it’s merely at the elevator area of the chosen floor, and good luck if you are on an upper floor, as you have to descend, with the steaming hot food, back to the lobby where you have to re enter your floor from the master control panel, inconvenient to say the least, and totally lowers the status of a higher end hotel experience. Also inconvenient, insulting, rude and embarrassing is if you have already checked out and are waiting for transportation, heaven forbid you need to use the toilet facilities, you’ll need your room key for that! I was fortunate to have a very kind and helpful baggage storage attendant to walk me down and open the door for me. Others, weren’t so lucky. Yet, the beds were super comfy!"

"The Marriott is lovely and an ideal location if you are planning on a lot of shows in the theater district. The on-site dining is solid, if a little pricey (considering the location though- everything is pricey). The rooms are well appointed and large by New York City standards, and housekeeping is excellent. Its only real downside is because of its location and gigantic convention space, it is CROWDED most of the time. The elevator system manages it well, but do not expect quiet in the lobby or on the lower floors. Our room was not facing Times Square so it was reasonably quiet. Would stay again for proximity to theater but if crowds are not your thing this is not the location for you. "

"I would absolutely stay here again, except for the elevators. Very slow and often full. I took the stairs more than I took the elevator. However, very clean, the staff were super friendly, and the location is fantastic."

"The property is beautiful.My room was clean and it smelled nice and clean. Andres at the front desk is amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and he speaks several languages. The property is located within walking distance from Times Square. They are several different restaurants and bars right next to the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay."
