"Great spot heaps to do 👍"

"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests. Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and...

"Little drive to/from town central, decent place and good food but very cold hotel. Everywhere you go, the hotel was cold apparently the common area heater was broken. No lounge area to hangout or do some work other than your hotel room or the bar. Hilton, you can do better!!!!"

"Wonderful views"

"Lovely room on the lake with an outside table which was perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom is now quite dated, but spacious and functioned well. Very comfortable bed. Staff were not very welcoming at reception. We arrived at 1.30 and told room would not be ready until 3. When we arrived back 3 hours later with all our luggage to check in we...

"Pleasant place to stay at a reasonable rate."

"Very clean, well equipped and best of all, comfortable beds."

"Our stay was amazing, starting with our arrival, staff was so kind, welcoming. The room, it was perfect for a family of four, all we needed was right there. The pool, oh my goodness, don't get me started this was amazing, my girls & husband loved the waterslides. I love how movies were played. The cave was cool & the swim up bar was a high light."

"Dated and worn. The room smelled of mould. Much of the “resort” is boarded up. Not recommended."

"A staff member was really accommodating and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a groundfloor room as my elderly mom had developed mobility issues just before our trip. We really appreciate this."

"This is a very run-down vintage hotel, whose heritage values are overshadowed by years of neglect. We were struck by musty carpets, flaking plaster and paint, and shredded curtain linigs. The shower over the bath is a danger for elderly clients getting in and out. The room seemed too large for the heat pump to warm adequately. Internal calls to reception were never answered or returned. Parking on the hotel's premises is a real problem. While this is advertised as available, on arrival we were...
