The Taj in Wayanad is probably the best resort we’ve stayed at in Kerala. It’s a great location on the Banasura Lake, and serves as a good home base for other locations in the district, including waterfalls and wildlife reserves. We recently had a wonderful stay at Hive Resort, Wayanad. The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting surrounded by greenery, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the property was very pleasant. The staff were friendly, courteous, and supportive throughout our stay. Great getaway for a few days immersed in nature, stunning hikes and views and wonderful staff and cuisine. Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!

The rooms are fantastic and a minor gripe is that the pools were not heated. The morning breakfast and dinner were chaotic. There is no coordination and the restaurant staff was overwhelmed. We pay the high room costs for the most relaxing experience but chaos at morning and dinner leaves much to be desired. The spa is good and in-room dining service is good.

Even though booking was for AC room, on reaching there we were told it is for non-AC room as Premier Triple rooms are non-AC only and we had to pay $28 extra for shifting to AC room.

The best private get away place you can find in wayanad. Highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Kerala and wayanad. Beautiful and well worth the money.
