"Nice place but not worth the money. The 3 bedroom suite is below the rooftop to which the other guests have access, so they walk through your outdoor area to get up there. You do not get the whole villa, there are two bedrooms that are rented out as well as the suite. The staff are however very friendly and the breakfast was great, and location also very good, right on the beach. The villa needs a fresh coat of paint but is very beautiful, feels Moroccan! If the price was lower I would recommend...

"We had originally booked South Point Cottage but didn’t end up staying there – the owner has a few properties and we were placed at South Point Abbey instead. The Abbey is a gorgeous old colonial villa right on the ocean, with four big bedrooms that could easily fit two families. The walls are built from coral stone, there’s a lovely pool, and you have direct access straight onto the beach. "As a Sri Lankan living abroad who has travelled to many countries, this was a rare and memorable find in Sri Lanka. We had an excellent stay at this beautiful, eco-friendly hotel. It is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Mirissa Beach, and the property is exceptionally well maintained. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to accommodate our requests. A particularly nice touch was being personally greeted by the owners during breakfast, which made us feel genuinely welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful, sustainable place to stay in Mirissa, I highly recommend this hotel."
