"You are family here in the best way possible! Maran House is absolutely incredible. I fell in love with my beautiful room from the first minute. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, the breakfast is generous and tasty, the views are amazing, you're walkable to so much great stuff (food, shopping, historical churches and mosques, etc), and most of all, the proprietor and the staff are the most beautifully kind people you'll meet in your life. "Well first 2 best things about this property are the people who were outstanding and breakfast even though the tea was colder than I like. Hotel is kind of hard to find specially at night and in the rain but we did find it again thanks to the people. Property is a historical building. İt has immense potential but still lacking basic things than can make this an outstanding property. Bathroom seat not even attached. I did not even try to take a shower. İt needs an exhaust fan terribly perhaps higher floors do have it but bathroom smelled so bad. A/C unit i could not get it to heat the room. Perhaps I did not know how to operate it. The need to wash the sheets on nicer detergent they did not smell very nice. The also need to remove all of the carpeting on the rims and on the trace. No reason to cover beautiful historical floors. Otherwise nice location in the middle of 1000's of years of history. Very beautiful place. Walks and in and around the town is a slice of history."

"Located in the historic part of the city, this place is absolutely beautiful! The staff are incredibly friendly, especially Kadir, who goes above and beyond to help. The Abbara room is nice and cozy, although it feels a bit small for three people.There are a few areas for improvement. The soundproofing isn’t great, making it hard to relax with loud music coming from the street. The bathroom has its quirks too—it's a bit cramped and lacks proper ventilation. The shower is right in front of the door, which causes the bathroom to flood every time it’s used, and there’s no towel rack. Breakfast could definitely use some improvement as well. It’s also worth noting that the room isn’t cleaned every day, and when arriving at 5 PM, it was still being cleaned even though check-in was at 2 PM. Despite these little issues, the charm of the place and the warmth of the staff make for a really enjoyable stay!"
