"Be aware there is a $25 per day "ameneties fee" that is added to your hotel bill...I find this a sneeky way of charging for things the hotel says is free...like the breakfast and shuttle service to the town's main street shopping area. The shuttle is ok if you truly need it...say on the weekends and/or for non drivers. As for the breakfast...meh...lacks in variety and size compared to other better hotel complementary breakfasts (no cereals, milk,waffles, or hard boiled eggs- just the so-so scrambled eggs and the oatmeal was pre-made in a large bowl...not great if you don't care for the way its made). On the plus side, this place has a nice irish country/pub vibe and an on-site restaurant and pub."

"Nice clean room, Extra sink was a plus. Spacious and quiet! The guy who checked us in was super nice and helpful! If I’m being really picky it could use a newer bigger TV, and quieter bathroom fan! Nice place! Would stay again!"

"Hands down one of the most beautiful stays! Loved the character of the 1800 building, attention to detail, wonderful breakfast, outdoor eating and relaxing atmosphere in several locations, kind and helpful staff, private parking, ease of check in, a text in the evening asking if I needed anything, wonderful bedding, and a comfort of home vs feeling like you were in a builder grade hotel. Will be back! Thank you Hotel Galena"

"Great location. Bathroom sink had a leak - reported this to the front desk. Lowonda - was excellent in keeping the breakfast area tidy. She is such a hard worker and kept this pace each day we were there. Disappointed there was no bread options for toast. Photo of the breakfast in the elevators were a bit deceiving. Waterpark was great and enjoyed the hot tub."

"Staff was friendly and the motel seemed well maintained. When we arrived they did not prepare for two people staying in the room like we had noted in the reservation. Location was great and the view was wonderful. Had to communicate with the office via phone only due to no one being in the office. Wifi was very spotty and made it difficult to use the TV provided in the room. It is solid place to stay if you just need a bed and a shower."
