"I would not recommend a stay at the Dolphin Inn at all. The overall experience was terrible. The room was small and inadequately lit. The sheets and pillow cases, although obviously clean, were placed on old and very badly stained pillows and mattress. The shower holder was broken and as a result the shower head was difficult to direct. The towels and bathroom mat were ancient and threadbare. There was no cooked breakfast, as had been advertised, and what we were given had to be eaten...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. "Fantasic staff, Jill served us breakfast both mornings, what could be better than eating a full English cooked to order breakfast overlooking the sea with a pot of tea or coffee, if a cooked breakfast isn't for you then a buffet style continental is available with a selection of fruit juices. The room we had was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated with an ensuite bathroom, overall the room rivaled and in some cases was better than most 5* hotels i have stayed in. Unfortunately we did not take and swimwear so could not make use of the fantastic pool, spa and steam room, a mistake that we definitely will NOT be making when we go back in a few months. Overall it is a large hotel that has managed to keep a friendly, personal feeling rather than an impersonal multi conglomerate atmosphere that you get from others thanks to the wonderful staff. Luxury feeling, dining with uninterrupted views of the sea and a short easy stroll to the beach, ticks all the right boxes for us."
