"Pet-friendly BUT you need to know that the guesthouse is just a small part of a large caravan and camping site. There’s also a field of horses. Guesthouse clients with dogs are only allowed in rooms accessible from the outside; we weren’t allowed inside the building. So my room opened directly onto the access road, with all the mud and noise that comes from all the traffic, walkers, and horses that passed in front of the door and small window.
The staff can’t be criticised. There seemed to be only 2 that I saw, and they were very helpful. But the guesthouse clients were supposed to be self-checkin and out, except I was NOT notified of my room number or that my name would be on a big notice on the door which I drove past.
My room was clean on arrival but impossible to keep that way because of the mud, but I also had a small ant infestation, so couldn’t keep bags on the floor, but there was only the bed and a dining chair to put them on. I didn’t report the ant problem to the staff, because there was nowhere else for me to be moved, and I didn’t want the room treated whilst my stuff was in it. Description stated there was a terrace, but my room certainly didn’t have one. I assume that was where the door into the house was, because there was a small table and chairs outside the main door.
So I expect other reviews will depend on where they were situated. My room was a single, allowing dogs. "
