Very clean, friendly staff

My wife and I are traveling through Italy on our honeymoon. Over the past three weeks, we’ve stayed in a variety of hotels, B&Bs, agriturismos, and other accommodations. Without a doubt, this has been the best place we’ve stayed at during our trip. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the attention to detail was outstanding, and everything made us feel truly special. It was the perfect stop on our honeymoon.

Beautiful property with lots of hiking nearby and the amazing Frasassi Cave. The staff was friendly and the front desk workers spoke English.

The staff was so kind and helpful, the room and hotel was very clean. Was just what we needed, wish we could have stayed longer.

Huge room, great service. Would 100% stay again. Though I was super annoyed that there was no in-room coffee or even a kettle!

An absolutely lovely property for families or couples. Kind staff and great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The property also has a truly exceptional spa where I had a 5-star massage that I would recommend to all travellers!!

This was the highlight of our trip!! Such a relaxing and lovely stay, perfectly luxurious without fuss, rustic in decor but also well maintained and very very warm and hospitable hosts, including the two cats and a chicken. The beautiful pool was a lifesaver on a very very hot two day stay, the meals were delicious and breakfasts bountiful. Cannot recommend enough. I was genuinely sad to leave.

Stella, Antonio, and Giovanna all made for a great stay at Countryhouse Federico -- they were all very warm, welcoming, and helpful in answering questions about the town and its surroundings. I stayed in the downstairs suite, which including a large bathroom, bedroom, living room, and kitchen with gas stove and refridgerator. Amazing staff - beautiful view - wonderful pool (amazing view again) and Ostriches! Peacocks! Alpacas! Geese! Ducks! Chickens! Dogs! Cats! Rabbits! If you are an animal lover THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I can not overemphasize how amazing the host and hostess were, how good the food was with the homemade baked goods etc… but the sense of welcome they gave us was unparalleled. We feel like we were visiting family. This is a place that you will want to return to repeatedly.

I joined my wife in Italy. She had been in Matelica for two weeks and needed to stay one additional week. Since I did not have business in Matelica we decided that we would find a place outside of the town where I could relax. Based on reviews we selected Borgo Lanciano. The hotel is located in a somewhat hidden but very quiet area. My family and I stayed there for 4 nights and I must say we had a great time. The building is new, and direct access to the room by car is a plus. Cleanliness is excellent, as is the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast was good. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property, each room is masterfully created. Gorgeous scenery, very serene and perfect for a small destination wedding.
