About this property

Juju’s Pond House on Smith Pond

  • Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located on 100 acres and nestled quietly on a private pond. Our family settled here in 1951. The farmhouse was built in 1921 and in 2018 we had the house moved down to the pond and did a full renovation while preserving as much original character as we could. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise from the screen porch swing or one of the docks at the pond. The property has nature trails to explore, fishing, and plenty of wildlife.



    We have three exterior security cameras, one that faces the front yard, one that faces the side yard by the back door and one that faces the dock by the pond.

location on map and actual site did not compare. Wanted the river view and fishing which pond offered no fish. Over run by box turtles in all bodies of water and areas of pond. Was great place to go for complete relaxing. Was picturesque perfect in all aspects for scenery. Thank you for having us. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless !!

We having been staying at VRBO rentals for several years now and JuJu's on the Pond is the most relaxing, accommodating, clean, memorable "home away from home" place we have stayed. The history of the house is so heartwarming and charming. The property is a perfect respite from city living.The views from the house are amazing. The house and grounds are exceptionally well maintained. We didn't want for a thing, as the hosts have thought of everything and then some!Communication was quick and caring.Easy drive into Dothan where we found plenty to do and enjoy.Thank you Matt and family for sharing your little piece of heaven on earth! We throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend others experience life at JuJu's Pond House!

Wonderful stay! As soon as you pull into the driveway you are hit with an incredible view of the pond. As you drive back to the house it gets better. It was super quiet and peaceful.We loved the screened in porch and the fire pit. The home was super comfortable and we really liked the coffee bar in the kitchen. If we had a question, Matt answered very quickly. It was great having Publix nearby.We hope to stay again soon at Juju’s pond house.

A romantic weekend getaway

my wife and i had a wonderful stay. great comunication, as we arrived very late and had no promlems getting in. the house was clean and comfortable. it has been updated nicely without loising the charm. as a contractor i am parcial to the old houses. the views where awsome! we also enjoyed a fire in the fire pit overlooking the lake. did some fishin, no luck, and brought my binoculars.thank you very much for a wonderfull stay. 10-10 we will absolutly stay again.

Great get away

We loved this property. It felt like staying at grandmas. Very private and secluded. We enjoyed being able to explore the property and use the paddle boat in the pond. Would definitely stay here again if in the area, just wish it slept more so we could share such a beautiful place with family.

Awesome sauce

My 12 year old says it was awesome sauce. The 15 yr old loved it as well. Plenty of room inside and out for the 3 of us. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable property. Most of our time was spent outside kayaking, paddle boating, and fishing. Would love to stay again

Oasis in the woods

This property was amazing. A beautiful one-bedroom home nestled among acres and acres of woods, hiking trails, and ponds. Quiet, private, and beautiful. This was the perfect refuge from a busy workday in Dothan. Only 15 minutes from downtown Dothan and a little over an hour from Panama City Beach, but so nice to return to at the end of the day.Well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. I will definitely be back next year.

Incredible time!!!

This property was better than we could have imagined! We brought e-bikes with us and were pleasantly surprised to find numerous trails to bike/walk on around the pond and through the woods. It was so private and peaceful. Choice of 3 fire pits to catch any view you like and 2 docks to fish from or have breakfast. Kayak and paddle boat to play on the pond. The house was super clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed.

The pond, surrounded by lush greenery, provided a tranquil backdrop that is both soothing and invigorating. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee on the outdoor deck or taking a leisurely stroll around the property, the natural beauty is ever-present and awe-inspiring. The outdoor decks were a highlight of the Pond House. Spacious and well-furnished, they offered the ideal spot to relax and take in the stunning views. We spent countless hours lounging on the deck, reading a book, fishing and simply soaking up the peaceful ambiance. In the evenings, the decks were perfect for watching the sunset! Overall, the Pond House offered a unique blend of cozy comfort and natural beauty. It's a place where you can unwind, reconnect with nature, and create lasting memories. We can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait for our next visit!
