The Dream Location for Your Perfect Vacation

"We enjoyed our stay because the waterfront location and views are beautiful, but there were several differences between the listing and what we experienced. The cover photo features the neighboring unit’s deck, while our rental had the smaller deck on the opposite side. Although the listing mentions it’s a duplex, that wasn’t immediately obvious from the photos, so clearer pictures showing exactly which outdoor spaces belong to each unit would help set expectations. We also arrived after the 3:00 p.m. check-in time while the cleaners were still there and had to ask if my senior parents could come inside. The dishwasher was also still full of clean dishes for us to unload. Inside, some furniture differs from the listing photos, and one of the advertised king beds was actually two twin mattresses pushed together. While the home sleeps six, the dining table seats four and the living room seating is limited, so larger groups may find the common areas cramped. Overall, it’s a beautiful waterfront location, but for the price we paid, we expected the listing to more accurately reflect the property and for the home to be fully ready at check-in."

"Great location. Responsive host. Nice LR and DR. Kitchen needs anttention. Oven gets hot and is located where small children could get burned. We had to buy a gate to keep our toddler away. Coffee pot and toaster were nasty. We bought our own. If those things are addressed the review would be much better."

"Nice place for a couple days to take a break from the city. The bottle of wine with plenty of chocolate treats were a pleasant welcoming gift. The queen size bed was comfortable, and the AC kept the place nice and cool. The winding staircase leading to the bedroom though was a bit of a challenging surprise--especially if you needed to visit the bathroom on the ground floor during the night. It was also very pleasant to have morning breakfast on the porch. The only downsize to that was the traffic whooshing past on the double, yellow-lined road that bordered the house. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay."

"We stayed at this house for the 4th of July holiday to visit family in the area. The house was very clean with a beautiful river view. The deck was very nice to sit, relax and watch the boats go by. The host was great and easy to contact. If we stay in the area again we will definitely return! Thanks!"
