"This Marriott property is a little run down. The rooms are clean but the conditions could be a little better… it’s very old. The main issue with this location would have to be the staff. The front desk staff were not welcoming at all. They were rude and acted like they couldn’t be bothered when approached. I’ve never had such - lack of hospitality at other Marriott locations."

Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the snack/cocktail hour and great breakfast. Snack time included pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, baked potato and salad. We also got 3 drinks each included in our stay. Great location, close to The Arch, Busch stadium, and lots of restaurants and bars. "

"We stayed here knowing there was a swimming pool only to learn after check-in that it was not in service and has not been for some time. Room was excellent except no microwave. For the cost of the room and the additional $20/day, you would expect breakfast for the price."

Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark

8/10 Good

"The property is large with two separate towers for rooms. The east tower rooms are older. The bathrooms are small and do not have towel racks for some reason. They do have one hook on the door, however. The rooms are otherwise clean and have a great views of the city. The cleaning staff would not clean our room even when we asked the cleaning staff when they were directly outside of our room too please clean our room, they did not do so. They did drop off new towels after repeated requests. So the cleaning staff is not great during your stay. The room was clean when we checked in. It has a very decent gym and pool. The restaurant at the bar is very good. The staff at the bar is super friendly. The breakfast buffet is probably not worth the cost, but if you are in a hurry, it is a decent breakfast. There are other options around the downtown area."

Hampton Inn St. Louis-Downtown (At the Gateway Arch)

10/10 Excellent

"Although this is an older property, it was clean and well maintained. My only complaint was about the breakfast. The eggs and sausage were definitely not good quality and there was a very small selection. But the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for the deficiency. The gals at the front desk were very nice and I appreciate that."
