"Edinburgh is very chaotic/touristy on the Royal Mile and this was right in the chaos, however, it felt very safe & the room itself was very spacious, clean & worth the price for it all. "We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, just far enough away on the Royal Mile to avoid the tourist congestion and noise but still extremely close to the main area. The room was a great size with plenty of space to move around and not feel confined like in other tiny hotel rooms that are more expensive. You have a kitchen, little table and sofa which no regular hotel room will provide so u can’t beat this place. We loved everything about our stay. The only thing I would have changed but had seen other reviews with the same issue, was the shower drain. It barely drained likely due to old plumbing so we had to limit the amount of water flow as we showered to avoid from having the base overflow onto the bathroom floor. We didn’t complain to the front desk, we just dealt with it because the rest was great. We would gladly stay here every and anytime we’re in Edinburgh and highly recommend it to others."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at Market Street Hotel for two nights and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent — very convenient and within easy walking distance of many of Edinburgh’s main attractions, restaurants, and transportation. The room was comfortable, although it wasn’t particularly large, so I wouldn’t expect a very spacious room. One thing I found inconvenient was the luggage space. For two people, there was only one luggage rack where you could open a suitcase, so it was difficult to have two suitcases open at the same time. Another unusual issue was the height of the toilet. It was noticeably higher than a standard toilet, and for someone of average height, your feet may not comfortably reach the floor when sitting down. This was quite uncomfortable and honestly not something I’ve experienced at other hotels. Overall, the location is excellent, and this hotel is a good option if being centrally located is a priority."
