Place was great. Just what we needed and close to town for restaurants. The warm and friendly welcome was wonderful after a long day of travel in the road.

Staff were accommodating on our arrival as we arrived half an hour before check in. We did offer to wait about or go for a walk but our room was ready and we were able to check in. Parking was convenient and we enjoyed a lovely walk down to the train station.

We arrived at Aurora on George just as New Zealand was getting ready to go to level four for the coronavirus pandemic. We stayed three nights until we could fly back to the US. Chris the manager was SO helpful during this stressful time. He had to limit service to protect staff, but answered all our needs and made sure we had what we needed. It was a safe haven with its beautiful gardens and comfortable rooms. We were able to fix dinners when restaurants closed so the kitchenette was vital. This...

I’ve traveled extensively and this is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere. The rooms are stunning. The whole hotel is stunning. There was a separate toilet and then a shower with sink that could be closed off with opaque glass doors. High quality amenities like Nespresso, slippers are robes. Truly an outstanding experience.

This was my favorite place to stay so far the whole trip. We have been on the road for 4 weeks. It was cozy, beautiful, comfortable, and thank goodness they had a back way into the hotel. I was on crutches. My husband said it was his favorite also.

Gardens and castle are beyond this world. Great experience of stepping back in time with this heritage lodging.

Oh my goodness this stay was fabulous! We travelled New Zealand and this has been our favorite stay! Beachwood is perfectly located to everything and the room was beautifully appointed. We had a full kitchen, a comfy bed and plenty of living space to spread out into. Our hosts, Dion and Mackey were lovely. They gave us lots of tips and checked in daily to be sure we had everything we needed. Don't hesitate! Book it! You won't be disappointed! The Mahers - USA

Room was clean and cozy. Staff was really helpful at check in and whenever I needed something. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We have stayed here before and found it very good .We had a studio unit but the design of the unit makes the sleeping area seperate from the living ares .Restaurants , shops etc a couple of minutes walk away .Very good parking .

Very comfortable, clean and convenient. This is in a great location right near the beautiful Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed our stay!

Everything about this property was perfect. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. The rooms, restaurant, grounds, and common areas were well maintained. The variety of breakfast options were delicious and plentiful. Awesome accommodations for a good night’s relaxation and sleep.

Great room and very accommodating staff. Laundry was the best deal in all of our travels.
