"The room is totally updated and huge. We had to use an oscillating fan to sleep because these old, historic hotels don’t have the infrastructure for air handling and the duvet/no separate top sheet made it warm. Gorgeous room. "

"This is a really nice hotel - very well-laid out with good parking and access. Within the lobby area are various games and activities which help to occupy younger guests. The staff are very friendly and supportive and overall the atmosphere is great. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very tidy. We had an issue with disturbance from another guest’s room which, once flagged, was fairly dealt with by the hotel team. We make periodic trips to Aberdeen and will continue to visit this hotel when doing so. "

But even with the simple setup, it was really comfortable. The bed was cozy, the space felt fresh, and everything just worked. It’s not trying to be fancy, but that’s kind of the point. It’s quiet, relaxing, and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful without hovering. If you’re into a clean, no-fuss place that still feels really good to stay in, this is it."
