Nestled between world-class ski resorts, this mountain town offers incredible access to rafting, hiking, and fly fishing along the Eagle River. Visit in summer for the free Thursday night concerts or winter for uncrowded slopes at nearby Beaver Creek without the Vail prices.
Old downtown has some nice shops and is walkable. A newer part of town was a short drive away and had some great dining options. We enjoyed the Social Oak.

We used to live in Eagle for over 30 years and were visiting our daughter and granddaughter as well as skiing. Not a fan of the over growth and over development but will be visiting back from the front range very often in the near and far future.

We just visited the ice rink on the grocery store next door. Grocery store is good. The ice rink was nice, but VERY cold inside! Brrr!
