"Clean and tidy. Small bathrooms. Only supplied a small hand soap and hair products. no body wash or shower caps. Also no hand towel so had to use a flannel instead. No milk for the coffee. Asked for a wine glass but they only have tumblers. Too noisy outside to open the windows. Recommend ear plugs for sleeping. No lift. Small stairs, dont book if you have lots of luggage or large suitcases. Great location. Use the train instead of the bus if possible. Buses are less reliable. Lots of eateries...

"Bedroom had a particularly offensive smell that would not air out; I noticed later the carpet by the bathroom was coming off the flooring and I am wondering if there was some sort of sewage leak. I did notice staining mixed into the carpet design in the main room as well. Location is good, walking distance to most things you’d need. Golosa in the lobby is fantastic."

"Fabulously located in Potts Point, our room had the most amazing view of the city, bridge and Opera House plus a little kitchenette (which we paid extra for). Room was small but spotless, beds comfortable and great pillows! Staff were absolutely lovely, would stay again."

"The room was basic but clean. The bed was comfortable so I got several good nights sleep. Close enough to all of the attractions that you could safely walk to them (and found more to see whilst walking). There's grocery stores nearby as well as plenth of restaurants. The breakfast was fresh and plenty to go around. Staff are very friendly and helpful. "

"There had been a leak in the hallway just before our room and the carpet was wet. On the Monday night the dryer was on till 10.30, 11pm and it was so loud. We had a baby in the room so the next night I asked if it could be turned off and I got someone come and tell me it had to be left on. At least he came back and turned it off at the end of his shift as he promised. For two adults and a baby we had four towels, when we asked housekeeping for more they said we could only get one, I had to go...

"Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend."

"Small yet just nice size for one person. It was a bit noisy at night since a restaurant is right next to the hotel. My room was at the first floor and Garbage bins were in front of the window. I could hear the sounds in the morning when they empty the bins. Except that, it was a pretty comfortable stay."
