Abbey Resort and Avani Spa

"Check in was easy. The building is huge and took a while to get our bearings. We got lucky with our room location (close to the pool with convenient parking in the back, not far from our entry door). Unfortunately, only rooms with king beds have walk in showers, which we needed since my mom is elderly and has some mobility issues. Not a big deal to share a bed. There was also a small couch in the room. Room, bedding and towels were all clean. One negative: there is only one outdoor chair per room, so if your neighbor was using their chair, there wasn't seating outside your room for more than one person. Plenty of chairs at both pools. Waterfront restaurant had good food, but limited menu. The coffee drinks at the cafe were very good and staff very friendly."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The outdoor pool was wonderful. Great location, we were within walking distance of everything downtown."

"It was a comfortable stay, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are clean, well-maintained and the beds were comfortable, and the overall environment is quiet enough for a restful night. There is a water park (paid) and a swimming pool as well. The staff are courteous and helpful, adding to the hotel’s pleasant atmosphere."

"The property was amazing. The front desk and staff is great. I was giving complimentary champagne for my boyfriend’s bday and the restaurant and check in staff was amazing. I do wish I was giving a heads up about being given a wheelchair accessible room, but the room was still nice. I will return."

"Nice facility. Everything was very clean and nice. The room did not have any type of closet, just a bar to pull out and hang things on. Nice having a large sofa area and a desk. The bathroom was big but had very little room to hang up towels. Breakfast was typical of most hotels but it was the same thing every day. The second day we were there some of our hot food was almost cold, don't know why. Our last day they ran out of things by 7am, and we had to wait a bit. Staff was very helpful and nice. No stair option from the main lobby to get to our room, had to take the elevator. If using the stairs it took us outside."
