"I preach at an annual gospel meeting in nearby Huckabay and this is a great place to rest and prepare sermon notes, etc. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Only hiccup was that, since it was more affordable this time, I got a room with two queen beds instead of one king. One of the beds is very close to the A/C and blocks some of the air, so it was a bit tougher than usual to get the room to cool down. I was on the ground floor (since I've got a busted leg and am using a cane while I recover) in room 101. If you stay in this room you WILL hear the "BEEP BEEP BEEP" of the waffle makers in the morning! I had to be up anyway, so no big deal. There were a couple of very small bugs in the shower. From my experience, this is just part of staying in this part of Texas. Great stay overall!"
