There was plenty of space, comfortable bedrooms and everything one would expect to find in a property of this size. The outdoor games, the pool and the indoor games room were all great favourites with the children."

"We were greeted by our host who had kindly allowed us to deposit our luggage ahead of moving into the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and well appointed with an Aga stove in the kitchen that keeps the cottage warm. It has a small but well kept garden with table and chairs for outside dining if desired. "This place is the best we have stayed at in UK. It is not only beautiful and comfortable but the innkeepers have thought of every possible thing. Great bath, nice kitchen, great bed and towels. I appreciated how green the paper goods and soaps are. Great place"

"I chose this property because of its proximity to Longleat and for the wonderful reviews. I add my own 5 stars as it is exactly what has been described. Several points to consider before staying is if you want to sleep in, bring an eye mask (I always carry one). There are a lot of windows but no darkening shades. Use google maps as my first attempt was made using the map on my iPhone and I ended up in a work zone. When I used google maps (which the owner intended) I had no problem. Also note try...

"This cottage was absolutely fantastic. The communication from the owners was great. The location was amazing. Very quiet with rabbits in the gardens and sheep in the field. A short stroll takes you into the lovely village of Lacock. The cottage was ample for the 5 of us with everything you need and very well stocked. we would most certainly book again. Thank you."

"Wonderful little cottage. Host was very helpful before and during our stay. Lots of good recommendations for the area. We made use of the hot tub as well as the fireplace. Enjoyed several sites very close by. Great place to launch to see lots of things in the area. Arrange to have the hot tub preheated so we could utilize it both nights. Very enjoyable stay, highly recommend."
