I do want to highlight two people in particular: Alberto, our waiter at Azul (in the Grand Velas next door), literally made our day. I didn’t even notice that my piña colada had separated — but he did, and without me saying a word, he brought me a fresh one. He was extremely busy managing several tables, yet he still went out of his way to be thoughtful and attentive. This is real, heartfelt hospitality — not the scripted, surface-level kind. And the bellboy who helped us both during check-in and check-out — he was so cheerful, warm, and full of genuine kindness. People like Alberto and him are the reason this place feels so special. The food was fantastic, as expected from a Grand Velas property. We dined mainly at the restaurants within GVB, but we also visited Azul and the Michelin-starred Cocina de Autor next door. Cocina de Autor was outstanding, and our waiter Javier was charming and attentive. Perfect vacation. Will definitely return!"
